The Bible is a book unlike any other. It is the very Word of God. To show us its wonderful attributes, God’s inspired text uses a rich variety of images (or word pictures) to describe itself. This year, each of our eight messages will focus on a particular image that display the glory of the Scriptures. This year’s camp talks will expound on the Bible as a sword, a hammer, honey, light, fire, and a mirror, among others. Our two speakers will show how each word picture is designed to inform the intellect, sanctify the imagination, prick the conscience, enflame the heart, and excite the will. Along the way, they will bring out practical applications in keeping with the nature of each idea. These talks, Lord willing, will lead us to confess with the psalmist, “My heart stands in awe of your word,” and with him declare, “O how I love your holy law, O LORD!

Ethan received an MDiv from Greenville Presbyterian Theological Seminary in 2017 and has served as pastor of Heritage OPC in Wilmington, NC, since 2019. He and his wife, Catherine, are blessed with six children.

Caleb spent a number of years in overseas parachurch ministry and English teaching before attending Greenville Presbyterian Theological Seminary and being called into gospel ministry. He and his wife, MoonSun, are discerning a call to return to the foreign field as missionaries. They have three dear children.
